Minecraft Dungeons
All Aboard the Hype…Minecart?!

A new Minecraft game? That was the question I rhetorically asked when I first heard about Minecraft Dungeons. It was asked with scepticism and weariness, both feelings which have now moved aside to make way for excitement and hopefulness.

Having seen numerous screenshots, trailers and beta gameplay recently, we at Shake N Bake Gaming are super hyped for what genuinely looks like a fun and in-depth game.











If you haven’t heard, Minecraft Dungeons is billed as an Action-Adventure RPG, a solo/multiplayer dungeon crawler based in the world of Minecraft.
With it’s isometric style view and story based adventure, this is anything but the Minecraft we all know and (still) love. You can go it alone or team up with 3 more friends either in local co-op or online co-op, which is always a plus in our book.

There’s no specific classes in Minecraft Dungeons, your play style is more defined by the loot and treasure you find and equip. Enchantments provide you with special attacks and abilities that can be switched and changed depending on how you want to play.

All your favourite (and not so favourite) mobs make their way into the dungeons, there’s Creepers, Skeletons and Zombies galore for you and your brave band of blocky adventures to hack, slash and smash your way through. There’s also lots of new mobs in this Minecraft reimagining, including the main villain called the Arch-Illager. The dungeons seem fairly varied, with mines, swamps and canyons acting as the back drops for your adventures.

Minecraft Dungeons was originally scheduled to be released in late April but it has been recently announced it will now release 26th May 2020. One massive plus for Minecraft Dungeons? It will be part of XBOX Game Pass from day 1 and if you already have a Game Pass subscription you can pre-install (the tiny, 100mb file) right now!
